Simaca offers leather and synthetic articles intended the industry

The products range includes natural leather, synthetic articles and textile products such as hairs and non-woven fabrics.

Founded in 1984, Simaca dedicates its activity to the commercialization of leather and synthetic articles intended to a wide range of industrial activities, especially the footwear sector. The company started its activity with a small commercial and logistics structure. The excellence of its products and services provided a progressive growth. In 1996, the company was relocated to new facilities, which potentiate a growth at all levels, mainly in human resources. Today, Simaca has more than 30 employees.

As in the beginning, the company bets today on emerging challenges and its experienced team is always on hand to provide expert advice. Simaca presents and combines new materials and keeps a close relationship with the design in order to give notoriety and add value to its offer. The customization of the products and their adequacy to specific needs also reflects the current brand image. Whenever necessary or asked by the customers, the articles go through quality tests in duly certified entities.

Our History


Simaca’s foundation year as a sole proprietorship company. It started its business with two workers and facilities in Romariz, Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal.


Relocation to Arrifana, in Santa Maria da Feira, increasing the storage capacity and making the company closer to its main clients.


Due to the widening of the product offer to various sectors, the company started to be called “SIMACA, LDA”, with the broader purpose of supplying material for all the industry.


Due to the business growth and the size of the organization, the founders created a company called “SIMACA – Materiais para a Indústria de Calçado, Lda”.


Relocation completed. The company has now a 2,300 m2 premises with centralized services, provided with excellent accessibility, close to IC1, A32 and A29, and built with the highest standards of quality and logistic dynamics.
